Highfield Hall

Completed in 1878, Highfield Hall was built as a summer retreat for a prominent Boston family. Though no earthly tenants have called the mansion home for nearly 30 years, area residents say the sprawling house is far from deserted.

The mansion caretaker and a former police officer believe they had an encounter one night with a ghost that has taken up residence in one of the hall's third-floor rooms.
