Label each day’s clothing in separate plastic bags for trouble-free packing for kids.
Author Angie Zalewski provides tips for organizing a child's suitcase.

  • To avoid overpacking for the small set, pack an entire outfit for each day in a separate plastic bag and label it. If you don’t want to use plastic, paper bags work well, too.

  • Lycra jeans take up half the space of denim jeans.

  • If you are flying with a small child, swap out one set of your clothes for one set of your child’s clothes. That way if either bag gets lost, both of you will have something to wear.
