Kid-concoction expert John E. Thomas demonstrates how to fashion a chocolate bowl for a Mother's Day gift.
Ingredients/Materials:

chocolate
balloon
wax paper
safety pin or needle
ice cream or pudding

Preparation:

Melt down chocolate in the microwave and allow to cool slightly. Blow up a balloon until it's about the size of a baseball and tie it off on the end. Dip it halfway into the melted chocolate (figure A). Let it cool for a few minutes.

Re-dip and repeat the process until you get the desired thickness. Place the balloon on wax paper and let the chocolate cool for one hour. Pierce the balloon with a safety pin (figure B) or needle to slowly let the air out. There's your chocolate bowl. Put ice cream or pudding or even little homemade gifts inside the bowl and present to Mom (figure C).
