  • When a recipe calls for dry ingredients it's easy to lose track of what has been put into the mixing bowl, especially if more than one of the ingredients is white. To solve this problem, place the measured ingredients separately on a sheet of wax paper (figure A).

  • When measuring cups of flour, measure them in separate bowls (figure B). If you lose count of how many cups you have measured so far, you can always re-measure.
