Figure B

  • Use a nail brush or a cotton swab to clean between the small buttons on a blender (figure A).

  • If the beaters of your hand mixer become difficult to remove simply place a drop of household oil into each of the holes.

  • Remove crumbs from the bottom of a toaster with compressed air or use a handheld vacuum (figure B). Make sure to unplug the toaster first.

  • Remove the blades from an electric mixer and place into the dishwasher for easy cleaning.

  • Make cleanup a breeze after using your food processor by spraying the grating and slicing disks with vegetable spray before using. This also works well when kneading bread dough in an electric mixer.

Figure C
  • Place an old knee-high nylon over a rolling pin to keep dough from sticking to it (figure C). Dust the rolling pin with flour, and once you're finished using it, just throw it away.
