Easy Popcorn Haystacks

Recipe from Jolly Time.

1-1/2 qts. popped popcorn
1 cup crisp chow mein noodles
one 12-oz. pkg. butterscotch or peanut butter pieces (or a mixture)

Preparation:

Combine popped corn and the chow mein noodles in a large bowl. Melt butterscotch or peanut butter chips in top of a double boiler over hot, not boiling, water, stirring constantly for three to five minutes. Pour melted candy over popcorn, then stir to coat well. Drop by heaping tablespoonsful onto a waxed paper-lined pan. Refrigerate until firm.

Yield: Makes about 24 snacks
