Don't go covering some innocent healthy salad with a high-fat dressing! Try these recipes for dressings that are low in fat but high in flavor.

Low-Fat Honey Mustard

Ingredients:

2 cups fat-free mayonnaise
1/2 cup mustard
1/2 vegetable oil
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup apple-cider vinegar

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Serve over salad or as a dipping sauce for chicken fingers.

Low-Fat Caesar

Ingredients:

1 Tbs. olive oil
1 Tbs. hot mustard
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tin anchovies
1 clove garlic, minced

Preparation:

Blend all ingredients and pour over shredded romaine lettuce.

Low-Fat Buttermilk Dressing

Ingredients:

1/2 cup fat-free mayonnaise
1/2 cup low-fat buttermilk
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. black pepper
1 garlic clove, minced
1 Tbs. chives

Preparation:

Blend or shake together and serve over lettuce.
