Dietitian Evelyn Tribole shares her recipe for a low-fat a triple-vegetable dip.

Veggie Triple Dip

Ingredients:

fat-free sour cream
ricotta cheese
yogurt cheese

Preparation:

Combine fat-free sour cream, ricotta cheese and yogurt cheese. To make yogurt cheese, place a coffee filter in a strainer and fill with a container of plain yogurt (see photo). The whey will drain through, leaving the thick curds that will be added to the dip.

To these three ingredients, add one of the following to taste:


  • fresh herbs

  • half-packet of Ranch dip mix (or more if you prefer)

  • dehydrated onion-soup mix
