This sweet dessert is called razzleberry pie because it uses raspberries and blackberries.
What are the holidays without a fresh-baked pie? If you find yourself running out of time in the kitchen before the guests arrive, here's a pie that is easy and quick to make. This recipe tastes so good and so fresh, your guests will think you made it from scratch. "It even fooled my wonderful grandmother, who was a master baker," says Rebecca Kolls.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh raspberries (or 1 bag frozen raspberries)
  • 3 cups fresh blackberries (or 1 bag frozen blackberries)
  • 3 Tbs. flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • pre-made pie crusts
  • Preparation

Place the berries in a mixing bowl. Add flour and sugar and mix. Place the bottom pie crust in a pie dish, then add the berry mixture to the dish. Before placing the top crust on the pie, use a knife to make some vents in the crust. Using a cooking brush, brush the edges of the bottom crust with water (figure A). Then carefully place the upper crust on top of the pie filling. Trim off the excess on the sides of the dish and pinch the seams with a fork. Lightly brush the top of the crust with water, and sprinkle with sugar (figure B). Bake the pie at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
