Food chemist Shirley Corriher offers a canned-fruit recipe.

Ingredients:

canned fruit
whipped cream (either store-bought or homemade)

Preparation:

Drain canned fruit well and purée in a blender. Add to whipped cream, folding in carefully. Serve immediately. Try any canned, drained fruit such as cherries, apricots or pears.
