Blended Mocha Drink

Chef Nancy Fox shares this recipe for a homemade ice-blended drink.

Ingredients:

2 tsp. instant coffee
2-1/2 Tbs. chocolate cocoa mix
2 Tbs. hot water
2 cups ice
1/3 cup evaporated skim milk
1 pkg. sweetener
cinnamon to sprinkle
light whipped cream (optional)

Preparation:

In a small bowl or cup, mix the coffee, cocoa and hot water until dissolved. Using a heavy-duty blender, combine the coffee mixture, ice, skim milk and sweetener until slushy. Pour into a glass and top with cinnamon or whipped cream if desired.

Tips

  • All of the ingredients in these recipes can be mixed in advance, except the ice, and stored in the refrigerator overnight.

  • Decaffeinated coffees can be used in any of these drinks.
