Culinary expert Colleen Miner offers ideas for easy meals that you can make with only five ingredients.

Appetizer: Cheese Crisps

Take freshly grated cheese and place onto parchment paper in two-tablespoon piles. Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes until cheese melts. Cool, and the cheese turns into crisp chips. Serve with a salad (see photo at right).

Main Course: Shrimp Salsa with Couscous

Start with peeled and deveined shrimp. Saute shrimp for about a minute and pour in two cups of your favorite salsa and two cups of sliced zucchini. Cook just until warm and toss in 1/4 cup of feta cheese.

Side Dish: Couscous

Bring two cups of chicken stock to a boil and stir in one cup of couscous. Cover and cook for five minutes. Fluff before serving and sprinkle with pine nuts, then top with salsa shrimp.

Dessert: Tropical Foster

Melt two tablespoons of butter in a saucepan and combine with in 1/4 cup brown sugar. Stir in 1/3 cup orange juice or rum and one cup each of pineapple and sliced bananas. Heat until sauce thickens, and serve over vanilla ice cream.
