The Hunt

Maisa and Patrick Faucette's charming apartment has been home for the last three years, but since that time, the family has grown to include son Noah and daughter Zeyna. The apartment can no longer contain this family, as they need bigger bedrooms, a bigger kitchen and a large yard for the children to play in. A good location is also a priority for the Faucettes--one with good schools, a good neighborhood atmosphere and something close to Patrick's work. The one big obstacle the Faucettes face is the high cost of real estate in Los Angeles.

To help in the Faucettes' house hunting is realtor Michael Stark. He wants to find a home that will meet all of the young family's needs. For the last six weeks, Stark has shown the Faucettes many homes, but none have been "the one." While Maisa's at home with the children, Stark takes Patrick on a tour of a cottage-style home with some unique design elements. The rooms are colorful but too small in Patrick's opinion. The backyard does not impress Patrick, either.

The next home Stark shows Patrick has three bedrooms and a very big backyard. It's in need of some repair, but Patrick thinks it's the house for his family and decides to put in an offer. But Maisa and Patrick will have to continue their search because their offer on the house was rejected. They must start looking again.

A week later, Stark takes Patrick on a tour of a house that he thinks is right for them. It's just come on the market and has many of the features the Faucettes are looking for. It's got three bedrooms, two baths, a clean and spacious kitchen, a big dining room and hardwood floors. The backyard also impresses Patrick. He decides to have Stark draw up an offer while he calls Maisa. He wants her to tour the house to see if she also agrees, and she does! The large master bedroom and spacious backyard excite her. The only thing they have to do now is wait for the offer to be accepted.

The Faucettes get the good news that they're homeowners, and with no time wasted, they convert their new home into a beautiful showplace. The road to homeownership wasn't an easy one for the Faucettes, but they're more than happy to have something that they're proud to call home.
