  • One more great item that has more uses than you can imagine is a "sit, stand tote." It's a toolbox, step stool and a saw stand all in one.

  • Don't purchase a different foundation for each season just because skin gets a bit darker from the sun. Start by purchasing two foundations--one for the winter months and one for the summer months. As your complexion changes, custom blend the foundations in your hand.

  • Using a cookie sheet from home, attach five or more magnets. Take turns being "it." "It" tries to memorize the magnets. Have "it" close his or her eyes, while the other child takes one of them away. "It" then guesses which magnet is gone. This is great for both honing memorization and observation skills.
