Helpful-hints guru Graham Haley shares an array of tips that are designed to take some of the stress and wear off our bodies.
  • To make gripping small zipper tabs easier, fit a small curtain ring through its hole.

  • Make a terrific cardholder by sewing two plastic tub lids together at the center--back to back. The cards fit snuggly between the lids.

  • Use an old golf bag and/or wheel caddy to store gardening equipment. These storage units make moving the tools easier.

  • Keep a pen in a plastic toothbrush holder.

  • To reduce the strain when putting on boots, slip a plastic grocery bag upright in the boot, so that the top end drapes over its top, leaving the bottom flush with the toe area. To make it easy to put on the boots, slide the foot inside the bag, then pull the bag out.
