Warm Hair Tones

The cool colors of the gray blouse are at odds with the warm hair and skin tones. The best colors are orange, rusts, olives, teal or any other warm earth colors. Pinks and reds with blue undertones such as burgundy should also be avoided.

Fair Skin, Ash (silver) Blond

Earth-tone makeup and warm colors don’t work with this coloring. Blue tones look better, especially baby blue, rosy reds, taupe-y browns and cool lavender.

Golden Blond

Rosy makeup and olive-green clothing is too washed out for this coloring. Warm colors like salmon, camel, turquoise and beige work well, as well as peach and kelly green.

Deep Brunette

Salmon-y makeup and grayed-out tones wash out the look of deep brunettes. Instead try clear gem-tones and rosy tones of makeup with a blue undertone. Avoid dusty colors. Primary brights are also a good choice.
