How to Organize Junk Drawers

In the bathroom: Organizing expert Louise Kurzeka suggests setting up a personal care drawer for each family member that has room for each person's toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, deodorant, lotion and makeup.

In the bedroom: For added blanket or clothing storage in a bedroom, Pam Hix says to add casters to old unused drawers and slide them under the bed. Use a cardboard bottle divider (from a liquor or wine case) in the drawer to create small compartments.

In the office: Use colored folders in a file drawer to designate different types of files like home, work and leisure.

In the kitchen: Organizing expert Donna Smallin says to store like objects in cleaned freezer-food trays, butter tubs and aerosol lids.
