Keep a binder with pictures of clothing combinations, complete with shoes and accessories, to make getting dressed faster and easier in the morning.
Wardrobe consultant Barbara King has tips for organizing your closet so you will take less time getting ready each day and better use the clothes you have.

  • Don't organize clothes by item (all pants hanging together, for example). Instead, organize by outfits. Hang slacks and a top together, perhaps even adding a necklace or scarf around the hanger.

  • If more than one top goes with a bottom, hang those tops next to the bottom so you will see them together.

  • Keep a binder of outfits. Take snapshots of all your clothes, then create pages with pictures of the items that comprise an outfit, including shoes and jewelry.
