Upholstered Boxes

Make extra storage beautiful using favorite fabrics and paint. Organize a home office or use one as a sewing box with the pincushion on top.

batting

hot glue gun/glue
small brads
hammer

Steps:

1. Paint the box and let dry.
2. Measure top plus edges of box and cut fabric (add about two inches to each side) and batting accordingly.
3. Center the fabric on top of the box and remove the excess on the corners by cutting squares out (this makes it easy to fold it around the batting). Glue fabric to batting.
4. Attach covered batting to box top with small brads in the corners and centers of the sides.
