Drilling Tips

When you want to drill into something but just want to go part way, mark the depth on the drill bit with a piece of masking tape: just wrap it around, overlapping the ends to make a flag at the side of the bit. Then drill and stop when the flag hits the object. Also before you start to drill, start a hole in the exact place by tapping with a center punch. For tile, first scratch an X with the tip of the masonry drill bit.
