Soon-to-be-parents Linet and Ricardo Blondet recently moved to Miami, where they plan to start their family. They love their new home, but have had trouble getting the garage in order. At 18 by 21 feet, it is filled with a mishmash of tools, workout equipment, laundry and general clutter.
They would like to get the space organized before the baby arrives. Professional organizer Beth Levin agreed to help them make that happen. See how she did it below.
Before: This garage was being treated more like a holding room for everything the Blondets hadn't found space for in their new home.
After: Now it's a vibrant living area that's an extension of their house. There is enough room for ample storage as well as a full workout zone.
Before: All that clutter took up so much space the Blondets had to squeeze out a tiny--and somewhat dangerous--path to get to the washer and dryer.
After: Now, there is plenty of room to move around in the streamlined laundry area, and Linet has a designated area for gardening tasks (to the left of the dryer).
