Every horizontal surface in the bedroom is used as open storage, especially for books. The space under the bed is full of boxes of forgotten keepsakes, mementos and Cheryl’s gigantic manicure collection.
Steve Lawrence, a Baptist minister and avid reader, has been married to his wife, Cheryl, a professional singer and self-admitted diva, for 22 years. During that time, their bedroom has become a room in which they do everything but relax.

In addition to numerous bookcases spilling over with books, catalogs and music, the room is cluttered with electronic equipment and videos, a tangled jewelry collection, an extensive collection of manicure products as well as office papers, 10 phone books, memorabilia, and an unusual keychain collection. They would like to change the negative energy all the clutter creates in this room, and create a relaxing sanctuary from their busy lives.

Watching movies and listening to music are only two of the frequent activities in this bedroom, which also include eating, reading and going through office papers.

Much of the furniture in the room was inherited but has no place of honor in the home. The large drawer tower in the center is full of tangled masses of jewelry.
