  • Hang an old water ski on the wall with shelf brackets to use as a unique bookshelf (figure A).

  • Adhere magnets to the sole of an old shoe to use as a pencil holder (figure B).

  • Adhere magnets to an old velvet purse and use as a makeup holder in a girl's locker.

  • Cut an old album cover into two and insert into the sleeves of a three-ring binder (figure C). You can also use album covers as a scrapbook cover.

  • Make a serving bowl out of an old vinyl record. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and preheat an oven to 200 degrees. Place an oven-safe bowl upside down on the cookie sheet and place the record on top of the bowl. Put in the oven for four to five minutes. Remove from the oven and mold the record into the shape of the bowl (figure D). Be sure to use oven mitts for the project.

  • Make a cool decoration, glue photos to the center of 45 records (figure E). Pin to the wall by inserting a push-pin into the center of the record.

  • Make pillow covers from vintage T-shirts by simply putting the pillow into the body of the shirt (figure F).

  • Turn an antique romantic picture and into a prom invitation or date invitation by pasting on a caption (figure G).

  • Decorate a plain curtain rod by hanging old ties on it (figure H).
