Materials:

drill/bits
staple gun/staples
screws
4 clear plastic cord clips
four corner brackets
two 1" x 1" wide wood strips
two 1" x 1" wood strips

Steps :

  1. Create an extension for the caddy by measuring the tub width. Cut 1" x 1" wood strips to necessary length (the featured project's were eight inches long).
  2. Put a staple on the inside groove of both sides of the washboard's legs(figure A). Screw clear plastic cord clips to the two wood pieces (figure B).
  3. Turn the pieces over. Add a corner bracket to the opposite end of the clips on each piece.
  4. To finish the box extension, line the plastic clips up onto the legs of the washboard. Cut two more pieces of 1" x 1" wood to fit inside between the other pieces (the featured project's were 10-1/4 inches long (figure C). Screw them together with the corner brackets.
  5. Drill holes into the flat section of the washboard for soap and washcloths to drain. Sand the holes for a clean finish.
