Materials:

plastic milk jug
marker
can
art or utility knife (for adult use only)
awl (for adult use only)
string
birdseed

Steps:

  1. Trace a circle on the side of a milk jug with a can and marker. Have an adult carefully cut out the circle with an art or utility knife.

  2. Have an adult use an awl to carefully punch holes on all four sides near the top of the jug.

  3. Thread string through the four holes and tie them together above the jug.

  4. Fill the bottom of the jug with birdseed and hang the feeder close enough to a window so children can see the passing visitors.
