TV Memorabilia

Special Presentation : Episode TOY-S -- More Projects »
Television was a big influence on toy makers because children were often placed in front of the set for entertainment. With the advent of commercials, came a new source of demand.

Sitcoms like The Partridge Family, The Brady Bunch, The Donny & Marie Show and Charlie's Angels spawned major players in this new market. Paper dolls, books, lunchboxes, jewelry, toys, action figures and board games were produced by the millions. Have a look at a few of them below.

Board games featuring sitcom characters were equally as popular. Did any of you have The Brady Bunch Game?
Did You Know?

If a sitcom star had an action figure or doll made after his or her character, that person would actually go to the doll maker, get photographed from all angles and do a sitting for a master sculptor. They also got final approval of the product.
