Melted candies give the cookies a stained-glass look.
Craft expert Mary Lyon uses leftover candy to make fun, edible artwork.

Ingredients:

butter
premade cookie dough (sugar cookie dough works great)
leftover hard holiday candy or multicolored lollipops

Preparation:

Place candy in a clear plastic bag and crush with a hammer or mallet. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and grease paper with butter. On the paper, press dough into cookies then cut out center of dough. Fill the hollow middle in with crushed candy.

Bake cookies at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. The melted candy will give the cookies a stained-glass look. Allow to cool completely before eating.
