Blue-and-White Baby Decor

• A combination of blue and white is one of the most appealing looks for a baby boy's room. A periwinkle blue has a soft shade and can change with the various lights, creating an almost heavenly atmosphere.
  
  
• A blue such as this looks great with the trim painted white and also goes well with wood flooring and a few wood furniture pieces.
  
  
• Other do-it-yourself decorating touches in this room include using an old bedspread to make the crib dust ruffle, using another old bedspread to make the window valances and shade pulls made from a strip of tulle and a glass star. You could also use a Christmas ornament or a small toy.
