  • Make party invitations that look like an old-fashioned scroll (figure A). Write the party details in calligraphy of parchment paper, glue a dowel to each end of the paper and roll up. Have them hand delivered for an extra special touch.

Figure C
  • Set a dinner table that is bright and glittery. To achieve this effect use satin fabric and netting for the tablecloth (figure B).

  • Carve a squash into a carriage to use as the table's centerpiece (figure C). Carve out windows and highlight with sequins attached with pins. Light up the carriage with a votive candle. Place a pushpin into the top center of the squash. Wrap thin garland around the pin and attach it to a plastic horse.

    Figure E
  • Use decorative hair binders as napkin rings (figure D). The girls can take them home as party favors.

  • Give each girl their own little cake that resembles a girl in a flowered sleeping bag (figure E). Make the cake body out of individually-sized sponge cakes, marshmallow heads and licorice hair. Use fruit leather as a blanket for the sleeping princess.

  • Let the girls make their own princess crowns using a stretchy headband, ribbons and beads.

    Figure F
  • Let the girls put together their own "ball gowns" with various pieces of fabric remnants. Have costume jewelry on hand for accessories (figure F). Set up a runway for the girls to show off their outfits. Place flashlights in chip canisters to line and light the runway.
