Smart Solution of the Day

Encourage children to wash their hands by embedding a dollar bill in a bar of soap.

Materials:

dollar bill
glycerin cubes
microwave
soap mold
rubbing alcohol
fragrance (optional)

Steps:

1. Melt glycerin cubes in the microwave in 20-second intervals.

2. Pour a small amount of base into the bottom of the mold and lay a folder dollar bill on top. Let harden for about 10 minutes.

3. Spray with rubbing alcohol and top with more melted soap. If using a fragrance, be sure to use one that is clear and won’t cloud the soap so the dollar bill can be seen.
