Edible Treasure Stone

Mix crushed chocolate wafer cookies with sugar-cookie dough. Knead until well combined.

Break off a fist-size portion of dough and shape into a ball. Create an indentation and insert "treasure," such as a candy necklace or lollipop ring.

Push the dough around the treasure so that it is completely covered.

Bake according to package directions. The dough will protect even plastic from too much heat.

Greeting Card Cookies

Roll sugar dough into a rectangle, using the approximate dimensions of a greeting card.

Create edible paint with egg yolk and food coloring. Paint on designs and words, then bake according to package directions.

For added decoration, before baking, punch two holes at the edge of cookie. After baking, thread holes with ribbon or yarn.

Stained-Glass Cookies

Melt together a 12-ounce bag of chocolate chips with a half- stick of butter. Mix, then add 10-ounce bag of colored miniature marshmallows.

Spoon mixture onto one end of a long piece of wax paper. Roll up the wax paper so the dough becomes log-shaped. Refrigerate.

When cooled, cut log into half pieces. Roll it in coconut or nuts before chilling.
