Host Terry Kovel uncovers the value of mud-men statues from the 1920s at the Metrolina Expo in Charlotte, N.C.. Mud men were imported from China and sold in dime stores. Today, they can cost hundreds of dollars each, depending on size and detail.

Afterward, host Ralph Kovel takes us to the Renninger's Flea Market in Mount Dora, Fla., and finds statues made from real Mississippi mud. The mud is collected from various regions of the Mississippi River, hand-poured into molds and allowed to dry. The figures are left unpainted, and the results are wonderful.

Mud molds are often signed by the makers. Afterward, the molds are coated with a special sealant that protects them from water.
