Golf club sock

Materials:

Caron Natura Sayelle, Art. 1976 ( 3 * oz. skein); yarns containing Solutia Acrilan or Bounce-Back fibers
1 skein #9850 Williamsburg Blue; a few yds.
1 skein #9720 Off White
Crochet hook, size H, or size required to crochet to gauge
White felt, 4" X 5"
White craft glue

Size: About 10" deep, plus pom-pom.

Gauge: 4 sc = 1"

Golf Club Sock:
With Williamsburg Blue, ch 41.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across-40 sc. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Working in back loops only, sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn.
Rows 3 through 24: Repeat Row 2. At end of last row, fasten off.

Finishing:
Sew starting ch edge to last row to form a tube. Working from wrong side, weave a length of Blue around one open edge, draw tightly to gather and secure (top of sock).

Pom-Pom:
Wrap Blue and White around 2" cardboard about 50 times. Tie one end securely; cut opposite end. Fluff pom-pom and sew to center top of golf sock.

Number:
On paper, draw appropriate number, about 2" wide X 4" high, with line of number about *" thick. Using paper pattern, cut number from felt. Glue in place on golf sock.
