Figure D
Figures C and D--Draw a design on paper, and tape the design to the can. Punch out the design with a hammer and screwdriver or other sharp instrument. Fill the cans with water and freeze them before punching the holes to prevent denting the cans.

Figure F
Figure E--Make a spooky disembodied hand out of a latex glove, wire and strips of old cloth. The hand can be positioned to hold an item, and it makes a great centerpiece for a Halloween buffet.

Figure F--First make the fingers by binding poly-batting to wires by wrapping with strips of material. Next, insert the five fingers into the glove, twist the ends of the wires together and stuff the glove to fill out the hand.

Figure H
Figure G--Place the "hand" on top of a clean, empty soup can and bend the fingers to desired position. Wrap the fingers with strips of cloth that have been soaked in a fabric stiffening solution. Allow to dry for 24 hours, then wrap with another layer of cloth for a realistic mummy hand.

Figure H--Make a cute yet ghostly trick-or-treater to greet guests at your Halloween party.

Figure J
Figure I--Line an old pair of shoes with plastic garbage bags, then fill them with plaster. Place a dowel into each shoe before the plaster hardens. The "head" of the trickster will be placed on the opposite ends of the dowels, so make sure they're tall enough.

Figure J--Hang some overalls from the dowel rods, stuff the jeans with old newspaper and place a large foam ball on the end of the rods for the head. Cover with a large white felt sheet, cut out black circles for the eyes, then top with a cute hat.
