Use the same method to accent a wine bottle.
Materials:

20-gauge wire
beads, charms, old jewelry, etc.
pliers
wire cutters
nails of varying thickness
corks
towel or bead tray
ice pick or drill

Steps:

  1. Arrange the beads in desired pattern on a towel or bead tray. Use an ice pick, nail or drill to straighten the hole left by the corkscrew in the cork.
  2. Cut a piece of wire about 15 inches long. Loop each end around a pair of pliers and ask a friend to help you stretch the wire slightly to remove any kinks.
  3. Leave a loop in one end and trim the other off with wire cutter. String beads onto wire.
  4. Slip a small bead onto the looped end and bend the wire over to secure it. Wrap a portion of the end on a nail to create several loops. Repeat on the other end and secure the ends together on the stem of the wine glass.
