Figure C--Hang similar ornaments in a group for maximum impact. Don't crowd the ornaments, but try to keep them together for a very lush look.Figure D--Not everyone has a large collection of ornaments. New households can start by buying a lot of inexpensive glass ornaments and hanging them on the outside of the tree. Add some bows to fill the tree out, and hang those collectible ornaments on the outer branches as they come in through the years.
Figure E--Save the hooks for fishing. Instead use loops of silver and gold ribbons to hang ornaments. They will add depth and style to the tree, help unify the look and look much nicer than hooks.
Figures F and G--Combine lots of fresh, dried and silk flowers for a non-traditional designer look. Choose items that bring out the colors of the home. For instance, match the tree to the sofa or drapes in a room. This makes an excellent tree for a formal living room.
Figure H--A simple yet spectacular look is achieved by decorating a tree predominantly with tree toppers. Mount the toppers with dowels by tying the dowels to tree branches using plastic tie-backs, and slide the tree toppers onto the dowels.
