fruit

Low Pasta-Bowl Centerpiece
Wrap a wreath of greens around a large bowl or low serving dish. Fill with nuts and fruit, with grapes spilling over the sides.
Cake-Plate Centerpiece
Place various teacakes, cookies or mini-fruit tarts on the plate and surround the desserts with fresh fruit.
Melon Basket
Cut a little off the bottom of a melon to give it a flat surface. To the side of the stem cut to middle of melon, and then cut from the side, taking a wedge out of the melon. Repeat the process on the other side of the stem, leaving a strip of melon around the stem to use as a handle. Cut the meat from below the stem and scoop the meat from the "basket" part of the melon. Attach edible flowers to the top of the handle with either a glue gun or toothpicks. Fill the melon basket with fruit.
