Clean a space before and after redecorating it to keep dirt to a minimum:
  • Mops with disposable cloths reach cobwebs and dirt in high places along ledges and tall window casings.
  • Purchase a vacuum attachment specifically designed to clean ceiling fan blades . It's much easier than getting on a ladder and less messy than an extended duster .
  • Vacuum with slow overlapping strokes (at least seven) to get deeply embedded dirt out of carpets.
