I'm Stuck On You

Smart Solutions : Episode SSL-339 -- More Projects »
Author Vicki Lansky provides ideas for solving household problems with transparent tape.
  • When removing pictures from the wall to paint or move, tape the screws or nails used to hold them to the back of the frame. This way they're easily found when ready to rehang.

  • Clean up colors in an untidy multicolor eye-shadow case by blotting the surface with tape to remove the top layer of mixed powders.

  • Tighten a lipstick cover that keeps slipping off by wrapping tape around its base.

  • Instead of removing a watch when painting, simply cover its face with tape. The time is still visible, but paint won't get on the glass.

  • To keep the signature on the back of a credit card from rubbing off, cover it with tape.

  • Make a quick, temporary ID bracelet by writing your name on a piece of tape and wrapping it around your wrist.
