Matt Fox shares some natural and simple solutions to use when cleaning your home :
Baking Soda
- To help eliminate odors, sprinkle a full box of baking soda over dry carpet and let it sit for about 15 minutes before vacuuming.
- Pour a mixture of 1/2 cup baking soda and 1/2 cup salt followed by boiling water down a clogged drain. Let it sit overnight and flush it with tap water in the morning .
- Wipe white vinegar on a tub with a sponge, and then wipe it with baking soda to thoroughly remove soap film.
Olive Oil
- Rub two parts olive oil mixed with one part lemon juice on wood furniture, and then wipe it off with a dry rag to keep it looking good.
- Use a rag to apply olive oil directly to brass and stainless steel surfaces to help prevent tarnishing.
Toothpaste
- Use plain white toothpaste to clean crayon marks from non-porous surfaces and to scrub water spots from wood furniture.
