Hagedorn Community Center Grounds How am I Green?

The community surrounding the Manhasset/Great Neck EOC is largely subsidized housing with little or no open space for children to play.  A recent contribution from a private benefactor allowed for the renovation and expansion of a playground that serves the Headstart program at the center, as well as all neighborhood youth.  An enclosed track is also available for the youngsters and adults to enjoy.  However, the overgrown adjacent area is a magnet for raccoons, snakes and stray animals, keeping people from being able to fully enjoy the grounds.  With the help of HGTV and its partners, the fence surrounding the playground could be repaired, a paved pathway could be provided for easy access to the facility and the overgrowth surrounding the track could be removed and made safe for use.

How am I Green? How am I Green? - The Hagedorn Community Center grounds landscaping work will beautify the area and eliminate weeds that have grown out of control.
