Change the World. Start at Home.

The neighborhood of Hyde Park lies at the intersection of urban Boston and its suburban counterparts.  The southernmost neighborhood in Boston, residents of this area enjoy the conveniences of an active city combined with the open space of suburbia. There is an unmatched spirit of kinship and neighborhood pride amongst the people of Hyde Park that is evident in the community’s small shops and restaurants, stimulated in large part by the Boston Main Streets program. However, the median income is well below the city average and the crime rate has risen in recent years. The neighborhood is home to a diverse range of people, housing types and social groups, all committed to revitalizing this dynamic community. HGTV, Rebuilding Together and the National Trust for Historic Preservation can help to further this effort
