Organizing expert Louise Kurzeka shows how to make a cookbook to preserve family recipes for years to come.
- Items needed for your recipe book include the following: colored sheets, divider pages, recipe pages, plastic cover sheets, page protectors for both the dividers and recipe pages, envelopes, index tabs, category list, menu planner, grocery list and a glue stick.
- Start by categorizing the recipes--appetizers, desserts, soups, etc.
- Create labeled index tabs for the category pages.
- Create a divider page by placing a divider sheet into a plastic cover sheet.
- Attach a labeled index tab to the edge of the plastic cover sheet.
- Use a glue stick to attach the recipes for that category onto the white sheets. This type of glue is re-stickable, so a recipe can easily be removed.
- Place the completed recipe pages into plastic cover sheets.
- List the category and recipes that are included on the divider page.
- Continue with the remaining categories.
