Larkin purchased this fire screen from an auction. It was a real deal at $35. If purchased from an antique shop, it could easily cost $150 to $200.
This pickle caster with a wonderful swirl opalescent pattern belonged to Larkin's great aunt. The value of pickle casters has increased lately, and this one, though it needs a good polishing, is valued at $375 to $425.
This little traveling box came down through Larkin's family. It's sponged painted, and the paint is in great shape. Items like this go for as much as $450 to $500 in the right market.
Larkin is using this Victorian ice pitcher as a flower vase. Items like these have often been polished so much that the silver plate is nearly gone, but this one would still polish up nicely. As is, Rinker thinks the pitcher might go for $20 to $25. When polished, the value is more like $100 to $125.
