Host Terry Kovel found wonderful antique buggies and sleighs at the Metrolina Expo in Charlotte, N.C. They date from the 1890s to the 1920s and cost between $650 to $1,000. See some of the original details that add to their value such as horsehair seats and boot scrapers.

This old McLaughlin wooden and iron sleigh comes from Canada.

It's in original unrestored condition and sells for $650.

The seat of this sleigh is stuffed with horsehair, which provides a clue as to its age. Generally, horsehair was not used after the early 1900s.

This sleigh from the 1920s has a seat that's been recovered. It sells for $750.

The iron step seen here was used to boost people into the sleigh.

This antique buggy is probably from the early 20th century. It's marked at $950 because it's in good condition. It was probably used as a doctor's buggy.
