If you like to cook, you'll enjoy the cast-iron cookware we found at the Alameda Point Collectors Faire. Two of the most popular makers are Griswold and Wagner. We'll tell you how to identify their markings.

These cast-iron skillets are between 30 and 100 years old and have been expertly reconditioned.

This one is over 70 years old and is very smooth.

Cast-iron cookware must be seasoned before it is used. To season the pan, coat it with oil and bake on a low heat for an hour.

There were two major manufacturers of these iron skillets--one was Griswald, the other Wagner. The pans were numbered on the bottom to identify the size.

The most unusual piece is a hinged pancake griddle from 1878, priced at $145. It's very rare.
