One of the more popular types of American pottery for collectors is Hull, and at the Metrolina Expo in Charlotte, NC, host Terry Kovel finds a bunch of it. Hull Pottery began in Crooksville, Ohio, in 1905. One of the most expensive types of Hull Pottery is the bow-knot design. Some pieces can cost up to $500 each!

Older pieces in mint condition are rising in value because they're hard to find.

One of the most expensive types of Hull pottery is the bowknot design, named for the bow design on the handle. The flower pot sells for $265. The basket is priced at $500.

Another type is called Serenade. It has a bumpy matte finish, much like an orange peel.

In the 1950s, Hull switched to a glossy finish. Here's a piece from that time marked at $200.

This basket has the Ebb Tide design. The clever handle is a fish jumping over the water. It is priced at $135.

Corky pigs are also desirable. These are priced at $145 each.
