Host Terry Kovel meets a dealer who sells antique printing blocks at the flea market in Louisville, Ky.

Newspapers and publishing houses printed their publications with printing blocks. Today, these range in price from $3 to $100.

This printing block from the early 1900s is marked $25.

Printing blocks are mirror images of what they spell out. Insert the printing blocks into the printing press, and the copy becomes readable.

Graphing printing blocks are also available.

This graphing block depicts farm machinery and is priced $30.

This is a half-tone graph block depicting a 1940 Chevrolet. It is priced at $25.

Here's a bronze bucking-bronco block marked at $75.

Type cases were used to store the block letters and sell for $20 apiece.
