Ken Schaffer brings back the days when rock 'n' roll was everything. Over the past 20 years, he has turned his 1950s and '60s memorabilia collection into a vintage diner, complete with jukebox, milkshake machines, Coca-Cola signs and plenty of rock 'n' roll memorabilia. Here's helpful tips and advice for those who want their own collection:
- Smaller vintage items from the 1950s and '60s such as advertisements, magazines and tin signs can be relatively inexpensive.
- Expect to pay $5 to $20 for most vintage Life magazines from the 1950s and '60s, $10 to $50 for advertisements and $50 to $2,000 for original tin signs.
- You can still find jukeboxes at antique stores and large flea markets. Expect to pay $3,500 for a Seeburg Model R or C in good condition. A fully restored model can set you back from $5,500 to $6,000.
