Collectible Treasures : Episode COL-1211 -- More Projects »
Collector: Guido Bellinkx

Location: Tribal, Folk & Textile Arts Show

Details: Berber jewelry expert Guido Bellinkx explains that Berber Tribal women of North Africa wore this style of jewelry. They weren't allowed to inherit land, so they invested in jewelry. Most of it is made of enamel, silver, glass beads, amber and green stone. What makes this jewelry valuable is that it is no longer made.
